Recently, F1’s governing body introduced a crackdown on swearing, proposing stricter penalties, including fines of up to €120,000 or even race bans. The clampdown has sparked concerns about the sport losing its rawness, with many arguing that the intensity and emotion captured in these radio messages are an integral part of what makes F1 so compelling. Williams F1 driver Carlos Sainz weighed in on the matter, calling the crackdown “too much.”
