In the swift streets of Jeddah, a new name thrived this weekend. Oliver Bearman, an 18-year-old reserve driver for Scuderia Ferrari, stepped into the scarlet car to make his debut.

The Briton was initially slated to continue his Formula 2 campaign on Friday and had secured pole position for Saturday’s feature race. However, the tide turned, and he was called up at a moment’s notice to fill in for an ailing Carlos Sainz, who was sidelined due to appendicitis.
